Color Correction in Centennial, Colorado

Color correction is the work of undoing something: box color that won't lift evenly, banding from years of root touch-ups, brassy ends after a lightening session, a dark dye job you regret, or hair that has simply had too many different formulas on it.

About this service

It is planned, not improvised. Niki looks at your hair in person, tests how it lifts, and gives you a written plan with a realistic number of sessions and what each one costs — before anything is mixed.

Sometimes the honest answer is that your goal takes two or three visits spaced out, or that a slightly different end point will keep your hair healthy. She'd rather tell you that at the consultation than halfway through.

Why clients choose Niki for this

  • Twenty-plus years of experience with hair that has a complicated history.
  • Strand testing and hair-integrity checks before a plan is finalized.
  • Clear, staged pricing — you know the cost of each session in advance.
  • She will tell you when a goal isn't safe in one visit rather than pushing your hair past what it can take.

Who it's best for

  • Box color you want out
  • Banding or hot roots from repeated at-home touch-ups
  • Brassy, uneven or patchy lightening
  • Going significantly lighter after being dark
  • Blonde-to-brunette or brunette-to-blonde changes

Maintenance

  • Expect a follow-up gloss 4–8 weeks after a correction to settle tone.
  • Corrected hair needs gentler home care for a while — Niki will be specific about products.
  • Once you're at your goal, a normal maintenance schedule takes over.

Questions clients ask

How much does color correction cost?

It has to be quoted in person, because it depends on what's on your hair and how many sessions are needed. Niki gives you a per-session price at the consultation, before any work begins.

Can you fix box color?

Usually yes, but rarely in a single visit — box color deposits unevenly and can be stubborn to lift. A two-session plan is common and much safer for your hair.

How long does a correction take?

Individual sessions often run four hours or more, and bigger changes are split across visits several weeks apart. The consultation gives you the real timeline.

Will my hair be damaged?

Corrective work is demanding on hair, which is why it's staged. Niki plans around your hair's integrity and will stop short of your goal in a session rather than push it too far.

What should I bring to the consultation?

Photos of your hair in natural light, inspiration photos, and as much detail as you can about previous color — including at-home products, henna and any lightening.
